This class will provide an overview of representing an individual or company during a white collar criminal investigation. It will focus on the pre-trial investigative stage, including grand jury investigations and negotiations with the government to avoid indictment. You will learn about special concerns that arise when representing a company or an individual under investigation, including attorney-client privilege and ethical issues. Finally, it will offer guidance for representing clients who face parallel civil and criminal investigations. This course is directed towards practitioners who are new to a white collar practice and towards in-house counsel who need to know the basics of such investigations. (A pre-recorded replay of the 7/13/16 class)
