October 1, 2015, is the due date for the single biggest change in medical billing and coding history—the transition from the ICD-9-CM diagnosis codes to ICD-10-CM.
In order to mitigate anticipated delays in claim submission and the short term impacts on cash flow the Society of Gynecologic Oncology (SGO) is presenting two webinars, hosted by coding expert Brad Hart, to help our members and their practices to effectively manage this change:
- “Preparing for the Storm: Understanding the Fundamentals of ICD-10-CM for GYN Oncology,†on July 22 at 7 p.m. ET/6 p.m. CT. moderated by Barbara Goff, MD, and Mark Shahin, MD.
- “The Storm is Here: ICD-10-CM Codes and Case Studies for GYN Oncology,†on Sept. 30 at 7 p.m. ET/6 p.m. CT. – with case studies submitted by gyn oncs
These webinars will be tightly focused on the issues that matter to gynecologic oncologists, with specific documentation tips and case studies that illustrate how life with ICD-10-CM will be different than what has been experienced under ICD-9-CM.
We hope that you can join us for one or both webinars, which will be presented live and then housed on SGO’s ConnectEd platform.
