RT 242: Vivarium Risk Assessments in the Research Environment

The roundtable will focus on vivarium risk assessments for chemical and biological exposures, committee approval processes (IBC, IACUC, etc.), control banding application, OEL development/validation, and IH monitoring results and control measures. Specifically, the focus will be on employee exposures to Isoflurane during rodent procedures and control measures; employee exposures to animal lab allergens, OEL development, sampling and analysis; biological assessments as approved via the IBC/IACUC e.g. administering human cell lines, and control measures to include SOPs, and chemical assessments using a control banding approach.
